I am passionate about crafting and I am so excited to share my crafts with you!

My craft journey started with crocheting.  A co-worker crocheted a teddybear which was so adorable, I had to learn how to make one. She taught me patterns on our lunch break and we met a few times at her home.  In no time at all, I crocheted my first and many more teddybears (Thank you Marianne!) Since then, I've also crocheted, socks/slippers, mittens, hats, baby dresses..... but for the life of me, I still cannot crochet a simple scarf! 

Throughout the years, my husband and I have always loved nature and being outdoors.  Whether it is camping, hiking, relaxing on a beach, finding a quiet spot to go fishing, we both love looking for unique rocks, stones, glass, shells, anything really! Whenever we find something, we remember where it is from and the memory shared that day. 

We also enjoy our days off going to antiques shops, consignment stores, craft and country fairs, tag sales, farmer's markets, food truck events, local entertainment, etc.  At a food truck event, we came across some vendors selling wire wrapped sea glass jewelry.  It was so beautiful and I thought to myself, I can make something like this but I have to come up with my own style of wire wrapping and to make my style unique, I am going to use the stones we have found on our journeys, unpolished and in their natural form. Before you know it, I was making my own jewelry! 

I always wear a pendant I have made when I go out or bartend at night and get so many compliments. One of my favorite customers gave me the idea to name my craft business "Her Jewelry Rocks".  He looked up the domain for me and it was available.  I loved his idea so much, when I got home I purchased the domain and ran with it! Thank you John! (Damn it!!!)
